Aleš Pavlin
Aleš Pavlin, born in 1970, got degree at University of Economics, Ljubljana- B. Sc.
Econ. in 1994 and Master's degree; M. Sc. of Drama Arts at University of Drama Arts, Belgrade in 2001.He got his first advertising experiences in early 90's on a part time job of Project Manager in one of first Slovenian advertising agencies. He also got experiences in television medium while doing part time job of TV Journalist on commercial TV station Kanal A, owned by SBS.
For 4 years he was working as Film and TV Producer at Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television Ljubljana and in the same period also as a private TV Producer.
In years 1999-2002 he was Director of Theatrical Distribution and Marketing at Karantanija Cinemas, official Slovenian representative of United International Pictures, London. At that period he was also member of expert team for preparing Slovenian National Film Legislation.
From 2002 to 2004 he was Executive Director of Golden Drum-International Advertising Festival, Portoroz.|
He was also Managing Director of Festival of Slovenian Films in 2004.
From 2004 to March 2006 he was Member of the Board of company Kolosej, the biggest cinema exhibitor in Slovenia.
He still stayed member of Organizing Committee of Golden Drum, putting his main attention to international relations area.
In 2005 he was also running the largest annual international sports championship in the world in terms of number of participating nations- 41st QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup From April 2006 is associate partner in Production house PERFO and continues with active role in organisation of Golden Drum as an International Director.
He is also an author of many articles in the most prestigious Slovenian marketing magazine "Marketing Magazin" and daily "Delo"-mostly writing about connections of advertising and film industry. In Slovenian highest circulation magazine "Vikend" he has monthly column about cinema business "Cinema Inventory".
From 2007 is teaching "Media Production Planning" at Institute and Academy of Media in Ljubljana.
Is also a founder of "FOFI" Festival of Children Film which takes place in Maribor.
